Konfindustria judges, that the consequences of the implementation of the Anti-Mafia Law will be very dire and with a long term effect on the Albanian economy. That is, unless a Fiscal Amnensty be also implemented at the same time. Konfindustria thinks, that only the accompanying and union of the Anti-Mafia Law with Fiscal Amnesty can bring at the same time the: - striking down of crime and guarantee both the defense of business wealth and that of the Albanian people, and moreover will enable � important financial income for the national economy and the government budget. Such income is necessary in these difficult times of a global financial crisis, that has engulfed our state economy.

The implementation of the Anti-Mafia Law in the current institutional and economic situation in Albania, without a Fical Amnesty for the capitals, assetts and income of the Albanian citizens, can directly cause dire consequences in: -the decrease of financial income from immigrants, that to date represent around 10% of the Albanian PPB, -trigger capital to move out of Albania and of the Albanian Banking System, -slowing down of investments, very necessary for a long term economic development and mainly to face the consequences of the global financial crisis, - insecurity in the wealth of common Albanian citizens, that massively have worked and continue to work in difficult condintions in foreign countries, bringing their income to Albania.

Konfindustria, has long since requested the Parliament and the Prime Minister, Mr. Sali Berisha, to improve the Anti-Mafia Law and to accompany it with the implementation of a wide fiscal amnesty for the Albanian citizens and businesses. Otherwise, the so-called Anti-Mafia law will potentially render insecure and put at risk the wealth and capital of a considerable part of the Albanian citizens and businesses, with dire consequences on the Albanian economy, the well-being of the Albanian citizens and up to the social stability of the country.
